Pirate golfers card 363 at Lindale Invitational

Coach Adam Smith’s Pittsburg Pirate golf team competed at the Lindale Boys Invitational Tournament held on March 10 and shot a 363 to place 13th out of 15 teams. A total of 88 golfers participated in the tournament.

The Pittsburg Pirates reeled off two straight District 14-4A wins last week, beating visiting Sulphur Springs, 5-1, on Tuesday, Mar. 11 and North Lamar, 12-6, on the road, Friday, Mar. 14. Those wins push Coach Juan Perez’s Pirates to 2-1 in league play and 8-3 overall.
