Tuesday night, Jan. 21, the Lady Pirates lost their third 4A Region II District 15 Girls Basketball game in a row against the Paris Lady Wildcats. The simple story of this loss is the three Wildcats 3-point shooters were on target and the Lady Pirates’ 3-point shooters were not.

Largemouth bass are good on rigged plastic worms and spinnerbaits with vegetation in Clinton Lake, Back Lake, and Carter Lake. Crappie are good on smaller minnows and jigs fishing shallow gaps in vegetation. White bass are fair on small spinners in the open waters. Chain Pickerel are fair. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and live bait throughout the shallow reservoir.

The Lady Pirates lose to Pleasant Grove last Friday, 52-86. This drops the Lady Pirates to 0-2 in 4A Region II District 15. The Ladies take on Paris at home Tuesday night, Jan. 21 at 5:30 PM.
The Pittsburg Soccer team lost Friday’s home game against Palestine, 0-1. This is the Pirates first loss of the season, now 8-1-0. The game was played on Jan. 17 at 7:15 PM.
