It was the last game of the year and Senior night as the team says farewell to the 2020 Senior team members: Ki’Anna Blackwell, Joe’Liyah Dunbar, Tyler Green, Makayla Jones, Jeanay Miles, and McKenna Wood. The Lady Pirate played the Paris North Lamer, Pantheretts in their last game of the 2019-2020 season. The team was on point and playing well as they shot 70 percent from the free-throw line. Racking up 39 rebounds, 14 assists, 19 steals, and 25 deflections of the ball.

Black bass are fair on Carolina rigs swim jigs spoons and spinnerbaits- some coming off shallow cover- better fish coming off of channel bends in deeper water. Crappie are fair with jigs and minnows in deeper water; historically, they will stack up on the river channel. Catfish are fair on cut bait and blood bait.

Pirate Soccer team Co-Captains Sammy Ramirez and Marco Trejo have been picked to represent Pittsburg in the very first Annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Soccer Classic. This is an All-Star game much like the football and other sports annual games. Their slogan is: “Unite your two passions, faith and athletics, to impact the world for Jesus Christ.”

Pirate Soccer began their district play with a 10-3-1 record so far and have won their first two district outings by crushing their first two opponents, Chapel Hill and Pleasant Grove, eight to nothing in both games. Junior strikers Yedhiael Ramirez, mid-fielder Victor Benites, and senior forward Kevin Ramirez and senior striker Marco Trejo continue to lead the team in goals.

Largemouth bass are fair but do not have much daily activity on crankbaits, jigs, and spinners fishing shallower than normal on points and drops. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows with structure. White bass are fair on jigs around piers and boat docks. Catfish are good on worms or stinkbait.
