The Pittsburg Pirate baseball team fell tantalizingly short in their trek for a playoff berth this past season, but the team made an impression on the coaches of District 15-4A. For their efforts, seven Pirates were named to the all-district team, announced after Liberty-Eylau’s state championship appearance.
Pittsburg pick-up game set for July 8 at Fair Park
The Pittsburg Fire Ants 8U travel softball team recently competed in the “In It To Win It” Tournament presented by MVP Sports on May 27 and 28. The Fire Ants truly were in it to win it by being undefeated during the whole two day tournament. These girls and coaches have put in a lot of hard work and we are very proud of them. This earned the team first place championship rings for the tournament.
With one final race in his high school career, Pittsburg senior Jacob Berryhill nearly climbed the mountain to a state title.
