Pittsburg ISD wrestlers went to Fort Worth to participate in a highly competitive 6A wrestling tournament. The wrestlers faced tough competition from much larger schools, and they rose to the challenge, showing heart, determination, and incredible skill on the mat.
The Pittsburg Lady Pirates remained in playoff contention with a dominating 44-18 victory on Saturday over visiting Paris. The win moves Pittsburg to 3-2 in District 14-4A and 22-5 overall. Paris falls to 1-4 in league play and 12-14 overall.
Daingerfield hosted the Pittsburg Pirates on Tuesday, Jan. 7, resulting in a loss for the Pirates, 42-58.
The Pittsburg Lady Pirates opened District 14-4A play back on Friday, Jan. 3 in Bonham with a dominating 74-31 win over the Lady Warriors.
