With family, friends, teammates, coaches and teachers surrounding him, Pittsburg senior tailback Jaylen Holloway signed a letter-of-intent to play collegiate football at the United States Air Force Academy on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Jack Arnwine gymnasium in Pittsburg.
The varsity Pirate basketball team hosted Mount Vernon on Tuesday, Dec. 3 and easily claimed an 85-41 victory to improve to 3-1 on the young season.
The Pittsburg varsity boys basketball team went 4-2 in the McLeod Tournament this past weekend, claiming the consolation championship.
Pittsburg Basketball Teams received many wins this past week. On November 25, JV Gold beat Pewitt, JV Black beat Gladewater and Varsity had a big 95-37 win over Gladewater. JV Black beat Redwater and Varsity had another great 75-71 win over Redwater on November 26.
