Pittsburg Pirates end of season, end of game ritual huddle

Soccer Pirates Finish With Proud 17-2-5

Your Pirates finished up their season tonight with a tough 0-1 loss due to an early Pinkston Vikings goal. We fought the entire 80 minutes to try and find a way to tie it back up and we just ran out of time. To say I am proud of this team is a major understatement. They have achieved so much this season. First team to win a playoff game and make it back to the 3rd round of the playoffs since 2021. To our seniors, thank you for your hard work and dedication to this team and our program. Congratulations on being Back to Back District Champions, Bi-District Champions, Area Champions, Regional Semifinalist.

Soccer Goalie Saves Game

On Friday, February 20, 2026, the Pittsburg Lady Pirates Soccer team went up against the LadyKats of Paris ISD. For 80 minutes, the Pittsburg team Goalie, Vianette Rodriguez, held the LadyKats team to just the 2 goals they had earned early in the game. She pushed back 13 goal attempts in the first half of the game, and in the 2nd half, after being kicked and laid out for almost 5 minutes, she got up and stopped another 12 Ladykat attempts. Rodriguez talked “smack”, cajoled and cheered her team members to keep running and blocking. Coach Ally Ramirez was directing play action encouraging the 10 team players on the field in their effort to hold the final score to 0-2 for the LadyKats. Current season totals are at 0-12 with 4 ties and four games left to play in the regular season.
