The voices of tomorrow
Kids these days. Walking around with their heads bent down looking at hand-held screens, bumping into elderly shoppers at Wal-Mart, and other things, and hardly even taking notice. If you know what I mean.

Hi. I’m Eileen Fisher. My husband Bick and I drove out to Pittsburg from Ft Worth on a whim back in 2016. We immediately fell in love with the area and put a deposit on our Lake Bob Sandlin lot that same day. We were “weekenders”, staying in our RV while our house was being built. My husband semi-retired from our business and we moved here permanently in 2019. We love traveling in our RV, working out and just enjoying lake life. I was invited to a cookie exchange our first Christmas as a married couple and came across this recipe. It was a hit, so I’ve been making them every year for the last 20+ years. It’s a nice treat to enjoy with a glass of milk, coffee or hot chocolate.
Our recent severe temperature drop brought to mind a condition long known to foresters; namely the killing of trees due to severe temperature changes. This can be a major problem in the northwestern part of our country, but is seldom a problem in the NETSEO area.
