Last year, there was talk of 20/20 vision and how 2020 would be the perfect year. I think most of us can look back and see that 2020 by far from the perfect year. A perfect storm, maybe, but I don’t believe any of us could have foreseen a year like we all just finished.
The 87th session of the Texas Legislature opened Tuesday with COVID-19 encompassing every aspect of what the lawmakers do, according to new House Speaker Dade Phelan.
It was an absolutely beautiful brisk fall morning, and Sam just couldn’t resist making his trek to the downtown bank on foot, normally done by car. Some exhilarating fresh air, and much-needed exercise, plus the chance to greet any friends who had the same idea of enjoying the unusual day – the idea was irresistible.
So, I have been hearing my humans talk about the “New Year.” I am not sure what they mean, because everything pretty much seems the same to me. I mean, I am “new” to my human’s home, because there was already a cat there when I got there. That, I get; there was something different. But a “new” year? And everything is the same? I can’t figure it out.
With a new year ahead of us, many of us may have set various goals for the upcoming year. New Year’s Resolutions, if you will, although I personally don’t tend to make them. But, whatever you may resolve to do, there is a little bit of advice I would like to offer: DON’T GIVE UP.
