I have a thinking problem. I just think too much. It wouldn’t be so bad if I had intellectual thoughts about the economy, foreign affairs or the constitutionality of this, that or whatever, but I don’t. I think about stupid stuff. Stuff that makes people think, “Is he okay?”
This is an interesting time IN the vegetable gardening year. Seed catalogs have arrived with many choices and so little time before those “early bird sales” expire. Every year brings new varieties and national award winners from which that you seemingly must use if you want to get the biggest, tastiest, and mostest fruit results!
Well, Super Bowl LV is in the history books. To some the outcome was expected and longed for, while others hoped for a much different celebration at the game’s conclusion.
The number of people in Texas hospitalized with COVID-19 has declined more than 28 percent in the past month, according to the Texas Department of Health Services. As of Feb. 7, Texas hospitals were treating 9,957 COVID-19 patients, down from nearly 14,000 a month ago. The number of new cases in the past week was 123,239 — a 22 percent drop from the record high of 158,922 the week of Jan. 10, according to the Coronavirus Resource Center at Johns Hopkins University.
I know next to nothing about stocks and bonds, shares, hedge funds, day trading, bursting bubbles, the Dow Jones, balancing a checkbook or saving for a rainy day. What I do know is that something financially odd recently transpired between GameStop and investors, and now there are a lot of new millionaires in the country and I’m not one of them.
