Rotary hears Strategy to Draw Members
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at noon, in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, the Rotary Club met for their weekly meeting. Melanie Bruehl, President Elect, led off with messages. John Livingston, Flag Project Chair, alerted everyone that the flag storage space was going away and, if someone had an idea of where to store the flags for the future, please reach out to him, or someone on the committee.. June 25, 5 O’Clock Somewhere would be held at the Princedale Country Club’s Clubhouse, and would include induction of the new officers. Christian Yantis, Chair of the Teacher Appreciation Committee, spoke about having a program ready in August, before school starts on August 17.
Democratic Club Strategy Meeting
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Douglass Alumni Center, the Democratic Club met for their monthly meeting. Linda Roberts, President, introduced a booklet on registering to vote. She said that being registered to vote was good for two years. She asked that the 18 people present need to get more democrats registered to vote.
Lions Surprise Lion with Gifts
The Pittsburg Lions Club met on Thursday, June 11, at noon, in the meeting room of the NTCC campus. President Mary Collins displayed two Thank You notes, one from NTCC for the Lions gifted $500, and the other from the museum for the Lions gifted $200.
