NTCC biology program makes potential new species discovery in Arkansas
Dr. Chris McAllister and NTCC biology students José Fuentes, Cecilia Phan, and Xenia Esparza recently traveled to the upper Ouachita River watershed in Arkansas for a field research expedition June 8-12. They were joined by former NTCC student Michael Rodriguez.

Local Juneteenth Celebration Fun For All
Julius Moore Park, at 600 Victory Street, Pittsburg, was the scene of this year’s Juneteenth celebration on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tashunka Smith, who has coordinated the Juneteenth celebration for the last three years, said that there was a parade that morning at 10:00 am, from the Intermediate School on LaFayette Street to Julius Moore Park on Victory Street.
