The Camp County Commissioners Court met in their regular bi-weekly meeting Jan. 29 to consider the items on their agenda of County business. The Court approved the appointment of Eve Pilgrim, Mike Reynolds, and Tim Truitt to the Broach Park Board.
On Jan. 30, the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual membership meeting and awards banquet at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The event included a silent auction, a catered dinner, a live auction, and presentation of awards. Awards for this year included Business of the Year, President’s Choice Award, Executive Director’s Choice Award, Man and Woman of the Year, Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and the 2020 Agricultural Award. Three business were also honored for milestone anniversaries.
St. Louis, MO (January 27, 2020) – Commercial Liability Partners (CLP) today announced the purchase of the Monticello Power Plant and the Big Brown Power Plant, two retired coal-fired power plants in Titus County and Freestone County, Texas. CLP purchased the plants from Luminant and with the acquisition complete, will begin the process of demolishing and remediating the existing infrastructure with a goal of preparing the sites for future redevelopment.
Responding to the increased number of citizens wanting to assist law enforcement officials and build a stronger partnership in the fight against crime, Camp County Sheriff Alan McCandless announced that Camp County citizens are being invited to become associate members of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas.
