History essays sought for Bonnie Spencer Awards
Expertise has its own rewards. In the case of history essays at Northeast Texas Community College, the reward might be something greater than an ‘A’. For the ninth straight year, the history professors of NTCC will feature the Bonnie Spencer Awards for the best three research papers in non-honors classes. The first-place winner will receive $100, the second place, $50, and the third, $25.
CASA of Titus, Camp, and Morris Counties focuses on supporting families during National Child Abuse Prevention Month
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and CASA of Titus Camp and Morris Counties is raising awareness of the need for more dedicated members of the community to step up and become CASA volunteers, and help end child abuse and neglect, through supporting children and their families.
Student art exhibit on display through April 30th
The Northeast Texas Community College Art Department will hold its annual student art show from Thursday, April 4th through Tuesday, April 30th in the foyer gallery of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibit will feature student artworks in design, drawing, ceramics, photography, and digital media. A reception will be held Wednesday, April 10th in the Whatley Center foyer at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come, meet our amazing students, and enjoy the exhibit.
