Hold the drama, please
There is a lot of drama in this world. It seems people thrive on it. And if they cannot find drama, they will stir up their own.

For those of you who don’t know, the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald closed this week after 147 years in business. This wasn’t the first local newspaper to shut its doors, and it won’t be the last. But why is it happening?
A friend of mine shared a piece of her heart with me this past week. In the stanzas of a poem that she wrote, I saw the story of the lives of so many of us. So many times we let fear keep us from doing the things that we were called to do, the very purpose that we are here on this earth. We all have one, some maybe even more than one, but I am a firm believer that every single one of us has a purpose, a destiny. Far too often we let people and circumstances keep us from reaching the lofty heights that we are destined to reach. Let me share her words with you.
Taking part in wacky internet surveys/polls/questionnaires – which show up here and there to be answered by people from both near and far, and eventually shared with others all willy to well past nilly – is such a fashionable thing these days that it is a complete wonder how we survived this long without them, and even more so with them.
I recently sat down and started filling out my calendar/planner for the fall.
