On Wednesday, March 18, at 8:31 am, the semi-monthly meeting of the Commissioners Court was held in the first floor County Courtroom, of the Camp County Courthouse, in Pittsburg, Texas. County Judge A J Mason, and Commissioners Steve Lindley, Perry Weeks, Tommy Rozell, and Jed Hefner were in attendance.
Friday, March 20, last day of Spring Break, there were over 800 babies, toddlers, kids, teens, Moms, Dads, relatives, and seniors at Broach Park, between 11am and 2pm. They were flying kites, playing in the three huge bouncy houses, sitting on lawn chairs and blankets, listening to music on loud speakers, checking out the 17 vendor booths, or getting food from the five food trucks. And, there were over 500 free kites, with string, given out by 11:30, plus another 60 passed out within five minutes of them arriving at the Park, and one of the local businesses provided another 50, plus folks brought their own kites.
Lions Club of Pittsburg met for their weekly meeting on Thursday, March 12, at noon, in the NTCC meeting room. President Mary Collins introduced the guest speaker, Teresa Owen, Founder and Director of Open Door. a pregnancy preparedness and alternative counseling program.
