House Fire – an unsolvable mystery
Early Sunday morning, February 1, Donald Pipkins and his two dogs died in the fire that destroyed the house and carport in the 900 block of Quitman Street. Thefirehadconsumedmostof the house before emergency services could be notified. Pittsburg Fire Department, EMS, and Pittsburg Police Department were on site that morning.
Commissioners Proclaim Child Abuse Advocacy Month
Camp County Commissioners Court met at 8:31 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the Camp County Courthouse first floor courtroom for their twice monthly meeting. Judge Mason and Precinct Commissioners Hefner, Rozell, Weeks and Lindley were in attendance.
CASA addresses Child Abuse Awareness Month
Krystal Robinson, Director of the Camp County, Morris County, and Titus County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, spoke Wednesday, April 1, at the Camp County Commissioners Court meeting. She presented a Proclamation to County Judge A J Mason for him to sign declaring April as Child Abuse Awareness Month in Camp County.
Beeping Egg Hunt, among other things
Regional 8 held their East Texas Light House for the Blind Egg Hunt on April 1, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. There were several activities for the eight students attending.
