Jodi Pack, Outreach and Social Media Chair, introduced Mayson May, Manager of the NTCC Work4College Program. Mr May stated that the Work4College program is designed for Junior and Senior high school students to work in the summer on the NTCC campus and 20 surrounding companies, earning college money. The students apply between JanuaryandJune. Theschedule is for at least 10 to 15 hours a week. The students make $15 an hour, $7.50 goes to the student, $7.50 goes into a college fund to be used for classes, books, and sundries. This program also provides that they contribute 20 hours of community service. If they make the decision not to attend NTCC, the money is transferable to their school of choice. Over 800 students have gone through this program since it began in 2014. It has been very helpful in ensuring that students, who want to go to college, can get this helpful addition to sublet their costs.
