Pittsburg ISD seeking nominations for G/T

Pittsburg ISD will be seeking nominations for the G/T (Gifted and Talented) Program. The nomination period will begin Feb. 1 and close Feb. 26. Nomination forms will be available in the office of each campus and should be returned to the campus no later than Feb. 26. Testing will be conducted before the end of the current school year and qualified nominees will be placed in the program at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Pittsburg ISD does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex or disablity in providing education services.

Students in need of financial assistance for higher education have a multitude of opportunities to receive thousands of dollars from some of the state’s largest businesses. NTCC Honors announces class of 20-21

The Northeast Texas Community College Honors Program is pleased to announce its Honors Students for the 2020-2021 school year. This includes nine Presidential Scholars and 11 Honors Scholars.

Lions provide sundae bar to Southern Wind

Pittsburg Lions Club treated the staff and residents of Southern Wind Manor to a surprise ice cream sundae bar last week. Lion President, Sandy Thompson, and former Lion President, Judy Jackson, delivered 5 gallons of ice cream, along with an array of toppings, cones, and edible bowls to choose from.
