NTCC Shelby Program receives $30,000 gift
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $30,000 from Barry Smith of Pennsylvania. The funds benefit NTCC’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Progam and will go toward an upcoming Shelby restoration project. Smith is pictured (right) with his grandson, Parker, on a recent visit to northeast Texas in the driveway of a Pittsburg home formerly occupied by Shelby. Six graduate from NTCC Professional Driving Academy
The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy recently celebrated the graduation of six more students, making a combined total of 15 completers since the first class in September. Whatley Center postpones spring season
The Whatley Center at Northeast Texas Community college announced this week that it will postpone its spring 2021 reopening to march. Initial plans were to resume with limited-capacity events beginning in January. Due to the continued rise of COVID-19 cases in the area, the season has been tentatively pushed back until March.
