The University Scholastic League has announced that all events, athletic, academic, and musical will be postponed until further notice. Practices, rehearsals, and workouts have also been suspended. UIL said of the decision:
Pittsburg High School DECA competed last week at the Texas DECA state conference in Fort Worth. The students did a great job representing Pittsburg, competing at the largest ever DECA state conference. These members have put in countless hours of studying and preparation over the last several months and the competition continues to get bigger and tougher each year.

The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave a total of $50,000 ($25,000 for Spring and $25,000 for fall) to support scholarships for students enrolled in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at Northeast Texas Community College.
