Pittsburg Schools Deputy Superintendent Beth Anne Dunavant, presented the proposed 2020-2021 school calendar to the Board for approval. There are several changes to the calendar for next year. The major change is the first day of school for next year will be the start date for students will be Thursday, Aug. 13.

During regularly schedule Pittsburg Independent School District’s School Board meeting, Jan. 27, PISD Deputy Superintendent Beth Anne Dunavant, gave the Board extremely good news. She reported that the Texas Education Agency had published its final report for the 2018-2019 school year and all Pittsburg Schools scored and A. The PISD is scored on attendance, enrollment, and staffing information.
Pictured holding cookbooks are some of the second, third, and fourth grade Gifted and Talented (GT) students of Pittsburg Elementary. With them is Mr. B Gooding, President of Cypress Bank. The bank helped to sponsor some of the printing cost.
On Feb. 4, Northeast Texas Community College is holding a workshop at 11:30 a.m. to teach participants 3D printing.
