The Northeast Texas Community College Fire Academy is now recruiting for its 20th Academy. Since 2002, the program has trained numerous individuals in fire service.
International recording and performing artist ASAINT (Brock Jones) has been touring the state of Texas with his exciting CITY LIGHTS TEXAS TOUR since late September. He will end the tour in his hometown of Pittsburg on Saturday, November 20, 2021 (7pm), at Pittsburg High School Auditorium.
If you started or are considering starting a business during the pandemic, you’re not alone. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Americans filed paperwork to start 4.3 million businesses last year. And while many with culinary skills invested in restaurants or food trucks, a large number of them began producing and packaging food items from their homes under the Texas Cottage Food Law which allows individuals to prepare and sell homemade food items with some restrictions.
The filing period for the 2022 Texas primary elections opened on Nov. 13, allowing candidates to file with their respective party chairs for spots on the March 1, 2022, primary ballot. For primary elections, candidates must file their applications with their state party chairs. If a district is solely contained within a single county, a candidate would file with the county chair.
