Camp County, like other counties, has seen a rise in COVID cases since the beginning of fall. Many officials in both the county and Pittsburg have been taking the necessary measures to ensure the residents can carry on their days as normal as possible. Residents have seen many protective measures not only from the County but also from Pittsburg and Pittsburg ISD.

A floating boat dock was installed at Bob Sandlin Thursday Nov. 19. The dock was installed at Highway 21 Bridge South in Camp County and is now available for the public to use. This new addition will allow those that are handicap or injured to walk across the flooring of the ramp and step into the boat because it changes level with the water. This causes there to be no strain on the body when trying to lift themselves or someone else to the boat.
