It is that time of year, time for family, food, football, and fun. Though I haven’t seen as many this year, Facebook is usually inundated each November with the “Thankfulness posts” where everyone seems to think that posting each day for a single month what they are thankful for will make up for their (sometimes) ungrateful attitudes the rest of the year.
Food and family is the main component of any Thanksgiving gathering, no matter the size. And though the gatherings may look different this year due to current health concerns, Thanksgiving is still all about the turkey.
I keep hearing my humans talk about the “Howl-idays.” There is apparently one coming up that involves a big bird of some sort and all other kinds of food.
If you ask people on the street what they are most thankful for this year, I am guessing that a large percentage would say they are thankful that the year 2020 is almost over.
Funeral services for Vernon Leon “Sonny” Gunn, 91, of Pittsburg, TX will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clint Davis officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Gunn passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at his residence.
