With a chance to pull within a game of second place in the district standings after a three-game losing streak, the Pittsburg Pirate soccer team knew they needed a solid showing to keep their playoff destiny as much in their own hands as possible.
Pittsburg’s Audrina Landin was near perfect Monday afternoon as she tossed a one hit shutout on the hill and led the Lady Pirates to a 15-0 shutout over the ladies from James Bowie.
Pirates are generally known for their sea exploits.
The Pittsburg softball team, like many teams in East Texas, had their weekend cut short by the remnants of winter weather that traveled across the area.
