The Rivercrest Rebels and Pittsburg Pirates gave fans an early Christmas present in last Tuesday’s game – free basketball.
The NTCC Carroll Shelby Student Auto Club is having a fund-raising chili cook-off to honor Carroll Shelby’s 100th birthday. All monies will go to support the club’s activities. The event will be held in the NTCC Culinary School in downtown Pittsburg on January 11th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Awards will be given for the winner of the People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice Chili. Last year, I mentioned to my husband that I wished the weather was more characteristic of the season.
