The best gift comes with a change of heart
We are going to be a little more serious this week as we get ever closer to Christmas and the day we celebrate as the birthday of our Lord and Savior. Most of us have heard the story from the Book of Luke and we have the visions of a newborn baby wrapped in swaddling clothes laying in a manger on a bed of straw. We can picture the sight as Mary and Joseph look into the eyes of their miracle baby and they soak in the wonder that brought Him into this world.
Continuing annual holiday tradition
The Men’s Breakfast Group held their annual tradition of presenting a donation of funds collected for the children of the PISD Junior High, Intermediate, Elementary, and Primary campuses on December 7. The principals of each campus received $1,000 to provide gifts and Christmas cheer to several underserved students.
Pirates fall in three games at TRMC Tiger Town Tournament
The Pittsburg Pirates hit the road over the weekend for their second consecutive tournament, heading to Mount Pleasant for the TRMC Tiger Town Tournament, while hoping for a better run than their previous stay in the Athens Tournament, where the Pirates finished 0-5.
