Ag Club to host Tractor Tech Invitational

The NTCC Ag Club will host the first ever Conroy Tractor “Tractor Tech Invitational” Contest on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at the NTCC Ag complex and farm. The event will give area FFA and 4-H students a chance to test their tractor knowledge and skills. Participants will take a written test, diagnose a break down on a tractor and drive a tractor. Judges will evaluate and score the students on their knowledge and competency.

The importance of Veteran’s Day to the next generation: will it diminish?

November 11, 2022 was the 104th anniversary of Armistice Day, first celebrated in 1918. This Veteran’s Day was celebrated by several members of Camp County at the American Legion Post 422. This was a joint operation executed by the Rotary, Lions, and Kiwanis Clubs to have a special event in honor of all the veterans, both nationally and especially from Camp County, of the wars and conflicts in American history.

Pittsburg first responders risk lives to save a life

Special recognition was given during the City Council meeting on November 14 to Wesley Kizer--Pittsburg Fire Marshal, Jacob Knight, and Wyatt Logan of the Pittsburg Fire Department, and Kyle Shelton of the Police Department who risked their lives in the rescue of a woman trapped in a burning home.
