This past Friday, our Pittsburg Pirates handed the Spring Hill Panthers a resounding defeat, 52 to 7 in what was the last game of the regular season.
Gregory Aldridge of Pittsburg is part of a group of God-based gentlemen who have chosen to mentor young athletes, with the goal of helping them become well-rounded, successful men. The group is called, Brotherhood of East Texas Career Athletes and this is truly a passion project for Mr. Aldridge.
Local author, Ian Griffin, has received awards for his novel “Ascend From The Ashes”. The novel has placed as a Finalist in two categories for the 2025 PenMasters Global Fiction Awards, one in the Mystery/Suspense category and the other in the Thriller/Adventure category.
On Saturday, November 1, the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum held a chili cook-off as a fundraiser. The museum, rich in Camp County history, is in need of funds for repairs as well as regular maintenance and upkeep.
