Chamber to host annual Independence Day bash

In 2018, the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce began hosting the annual Independence Day firework show. Until 2020, July 4 was a day full of activities such as parachute bingo and games for families. Due to social distancing concerns, the fireworks will be the only attraction again this year, but the Chamber has ensured that the fireworks will be a showstopper.

On Saturday, May 22 several members of Gordon Mattison American Legion Post 422 placed flags on the veterans graves at Rose Hill Commentary in Pittsburg. The Legionnaires put out 320 flags to celebrate the upcoming Memorial Day. Rotary Club of Pittsburg awards scholarships

The Rotary Club of Pittsburg awards scholarships to Pittsburg High School students every year. The very deserving recipients for 2021 are Wade Yantis, Samantha Roberts, Grace Neighbors, Courtney Kilburn, and Omar Garza.
