Chamber to host annual Independence Day bash
In 2018, the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce began hosting the annual Independence Day firework show. Until 2020, July 4 was a day full of activities such as parachute bingo and games for families. Due to social distancing concerns, the fireworks will be the only attraction again this year, but the Chamber has ensured that the fireworks will be a showstopper.
“Please join us as we celebrate our nation’s independence with a spectacular fireworks show at Broach Park. Same as last year, we will keep it simple with just a fireworks show. No food vendors, rides, or games,” said the Chamber “So make your own party and bring a picnic, lawn chairs and your friends and come join us. It’s free!”
Donation packages for businesses come in various sizes with benefits associated with each level. The Red, White & Blue package is $100. Businesses or individuals who purchase this will have their name recognized on the weekly newsletter email sent out to Chamber members and supporters.
The Uncle Sam package is $250, and those who purchase it will have their name recognized on the news letter and the Chamber Facebook page. The Grand Ole Flag package is $500, and donors will receive their name on the newsletter, the Facebook page, and an event banner or poster.
The Grand Ole Flag sponsorship package is $500. Donors will receive recognition on event banners and posters, Chamber newsletters, and the Chamber’s Facebook page.
The Yankee Doodle Dandy is $1,000, and donors will receive recognition on the banner or poster, the newsletter, the Facebook page, and in any newspaper press releases. The Diamond Jubilee Star Spangled package is $2,500. Purchasers of this package will receive recognition on the newsletter, Facebook, an event banner or poster, and all media releases, including radio and newspaper submissions.
Stars & Stripes Forever is the final and largest donation package at $5,000. Purchasers will receive recognition as presenting donor, prominent logo visibility on event banner, event poster, newsletter, and Facebook page, as well as mention in all media releases.
“Thank you to our 75th Anniversary Stars & Strips Sponsor, Pilgrim’s Corporation, and our Yankee Doodle Dandy Sponsors, TRMC, First Baptist Church, Eve Pilgrim, and David & Paulette Rolston,” said the Chamber.
The fireworks show will take place at Broach Park at 7 p.m. and will last 2.5 hours.
