75 YRS AGO: W. A. Cozart was wounded in France. That would have been Jan. 1946, the war was over in Europe June 1945. Mr Cozart’s injury would have been 76 years ago.

It was an absolutely beautiful brisk fall morning, and Sam just couldn’t resist making his trek to the downtown bank on foot, normally done by car. Some exhilarating fresh air, and much-needed exercise, plus the chance to greet any friends who had the same idea of enjoying the unusual day – the idea was irresistible.

Last year, there was talk of 20/20 vision and how 2020 would be the perfect year. I think most of us can look back and see that 2020 by far from the perfect year. A perfect storm, maybe, but I don’t believe any of us could have foreseen a year like we all just finished.
Three new tomatoes for 2021

The pineapple tomato (Solanum lycopersicum ‘Pineapple’) is a bi-colored, tasty tomato that slightly resembles a little pumpkin with a 360° ribbed appearance. With variations, picture a light orange color melting over the sides into a deep red bottom. They get their name “pineapple” because their ribbed cover and interior resemblance a slice of the spiny tropical pineapple.
