There are not many substances that can claim their production model involves chewing; honey is one of these rare substances. After collecting the nectar from which honey is made, it is actually chewed by bees and then deposited in little, six-sided wax cells (honeycomb) and sealed with more wax. It is then fanned with the wings of the worker bees to make a stickier final product.
This last week, Betty White would have turned 100 years old. America’s favorite Golden Girl and seller of Snicker’s didn’t quite make it. As reported by national and international news outlets, White died on New Year’s Eve, just two and a half weeks shy of her one hundredth birthday.
Some of us have been hurt badly by our family. Maybe it was a trusted friend, a teacher, a coach, or business partner that did something or said something to us which we have never gotten over. This hurt, that we have much thought about, colors our disposition, leaves us despondent, and sad. Our joy for living hasn’t seen the light of day for days, months, and years. Our mood is so downcast that people we don’t even know ask us “what’s wrong, are you okay.”
