The time after WWII was a continuing of our nation’s recovery and the beginning of a new and improved life. Actually, it was the best of times and the worst of times. For the worst, look at the American farm, which began to collapse in the war’s aftermath. The small, family owned farm, which had organically fed our country so well, was slowly pushed aside as large conglomerates took control. Combined with this were the beginnings of a chemical revolution that radically changed the face of farming.
