The Pittsburg Pirate basketball team found themselves in a slump at a bad time, but bounced back to clinch a playoff berth in what’s been a tight District 15-4A race.
The Pittsburg Pirate soccer team continued their hot start to the season with three big wins last week.
Mason Knight ( freshman) competed at the Regional Wrestling tournament in Frisco on Feb. 11 and 12. He held his own in four out of five matches, placing third which qualified him to advance to the State Tournament in CY-Fair. His one loss was a close contest.
Sheryl Runividge Ellis, 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 5th, 2022. She was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on September 2nd, 1948. Sheryl graduated from Altus High School, attended TCU, and received degrees in Ballet and Theatre. She also obtained a degree in English and Education from the University of North Texas.
