Hotlinks Festival and spring planning coming to Pittsburg
Pittsburg is planning for the annual Hotlinks Festival once again. April 30 will be the date for this event, and even The Alley will be decked with bright umbrellas and flower pots to offer a bit of color.
County preparing for construction
Lack of proper drainage is causing rainwater to wreak havoc on the foundation of Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church. In order to fix this, the County has agreed to install a culvert purchased by the church.
Three candidates, one position
Three candidates, all running for the position of U.S. Representative Congressional District One, have canvassed Pittsburg asking for the communities vote in the March primaries. These three are Stephen Kocen, Joe McDaniel, and Nathaniel Moran.
Battle for Precinct Two heats up
A forum was held at Thunderbird Point on Feb. 8 for the candidates pursuing the position of County Commissioner for Precinct Two. Of the five candidates, one (Tim Royal), was unable to attend.
