One news item has dominated every news cycle for the last six weeks: the conflict in Ukraine. The news from Ukraine is almost all bad news – first and foremost for the people of Ukraine who are suffering, but also for the rest of the world which is forced to deal with the effects of the war.
There seems to be a lot of debate in the world today concerning children and how they should be raised. I know several parents of young children who struggle daily with everything from not being adequate parents to simply not knowing what to do.
Two Pittsburg high school students participated in the Hoops for Autism All-Star basketball game on Mar. 26 at E.B. Carrington Gymnasium in White Oak.
Former Pittsburg basketball coach Tim Ender earned Coach of the Year honors as Beckville went to the regional playoffs in Athens, where they were defeated by LaPoynor. Ender has also coached in Danbury and Springhill and has been named Coach of the Year at all four locations. Ender has over 400 wins to his credit.
