I heard something over the weekend that really made me stop and think.
About 1495, Leonardo Da Vinci was commissioned to paint the walls at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, Italy. There Da Vinci painted one of the most famous works of all times – The Last Supper. Leonardo depicted the feelings of anxiety, dismay and even anger that occurred among the disciples when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him. It is recorded that Da Vinci expressly wished to capture the response of each of the disciples after hearing the Master say, “One of you will betray me” as they cried out “Lord, is it I?”
