Warrick’s Hot Links owner Gene Warrick is joined by his son Sabin Warrick in the restaurant in the early 1970s. Warrick’s family has a direct connection to the delicacy which was first brought to Pittsburg by German descendant Charles Hasselback in the late 1800s. Now a trademarked, internationally-recognized brand, the Warricks first made their mark selling hot links in the 1940s. By 1960, the E.B. Warrick Hot Links business, then located at 156 Marshall St, was born. In 1962, Gene Warrick, Sabin’s father, opened Warrick’s Hot Links and later it became what is today the Pittsburg Hot Link Restaurant in the official Hot Link Capitol of Texas.
