Pain or Pleasure sweeps competition at Paris Body Art Expo

At the third annual Paris Body Art Expo hosted by Daniel Garza, Pain or Pleasure came out on top in a multitude of categories. Artists Micheal Goodson and Gary McClinton won first place in best black and grey, first, second, and third places in the American traditional category, second place in best color and in best arm sleeve, first and third places in best med traditional, third place in floral, first and third places in best back, second place in best torso, third place best coverup.

This week, the Pittsburg Lion’s Club would like to spotlight Lion Kathy Carpenter. She and Lion Bruce Carpenter have been married 48 years and have two daughters and four grandchildren. She is active in the Lion’s Club, Twentieth Century Club, and the Greer Blvd. Church of Christ. Kathy is a realtor for Century 21 Premier Group in Pittsburg. She works hard for her customers who are eager to sell their real estate or buy additional property.
Look out for false donation claims this Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many businesses are marketing products and services donned with pink ribbons to show financial support for breast cancer charity groups and organizations. While this is a legitimate practice, be on the lookout for dishonest businesses who claim to support breast cancer research or services through the purchase of pink products, but pocket the donations instead. Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Central East Texas advises consumers to research pink product and charity claims before making a purchase or donation.
