NTCC Carroll Shelby Automotive School hosts Dyno Day

On Saturday, the NTCC Carroll Shelby Automotive School hosted its annual Dyno Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dyno Pulls were $35, with a maximum of 15 minutes. There was a silent memorabilia auction, a car wash, and food sales, all benefitting the club. A $500 scholarship was given to Beth O’Brien by the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas.

Proffitt to advance to 2021 College Fishing National Championship

At the Oct. 2 Abu Garcia College Fishing competition, Kaden Proffitt of Pittsburg and his teammate Cason Ragsdale of Winnsboro came in at 7th place with seven bass caught. The duo, which competes for East Texas Baptist University, will now advance to the 2021 College Fishing National Championship.

COVID and Influenza

With the beginning of Fall, also comes the beginning of Flu season. Another illness that would be in the citizens’ best interest to avoid.
