City Council members pledge oath
In a regular session of the Pittsburg City Council on May 13, Councilmember for Place 1, John Livingston, and Councilmember for Place 3, Todd Diviney, both swore an oath of office for another term as members of the Pittsburg City Council.
Registered sex offender arrested
The Camp County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with Special Agents of the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Divisions (CID), arrested 37-year-old Christopher Joseph Daigre May 16 on two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Commissioners Court meet in regular session
On May 15, the Camp County Commissioners met in a regular session to consider agenda items and hold a discussion. City Manager, Clint Hardeman, spoke to the commissioners regarding a contract for services and a resolution to convey to the city real property, part of Lot 1, Block 25, both of which was approved by the commissioners.
Rotary awards scholarships to nine seniors
On Wednesday, May 15 the Pittsburg Rotary Club heard from nine Pittsburg High School graduating seniors who were the recipients of Rotary Scholarships. With 38 applications to go through, the Rotary Club’s scholarship committee awarded these nine students based on their community service, financial hardship, and academic dedication.
