The Pittsburg Independent School District bond election passed with Proposition A at a total of 1,396 (60 percent) voters for and 924 against and Proposition B at a total of 1,367 (59 percent) for and 946 against. This bond will provide $93.8 million for a new high school campus and several renovations to the junior high campus.

Pittsburg High School’s 2024 graduating class had many seniors who were awarded scholarships during the annual academic banquet held on May 6. The Top 10 Percent of the junior and senior classes were also recognized, and the National Honor Society inductees were sworn in.

An open house and tour of the new Camp County Jail addition is set for Sunday, May 19, from 2 until 5 p.m.
