Our family traveled a lot years ago, singing on Sunday morning in churches in another states. Back in those days, when you attended church you were expected to dress more formally than is accepted today. Therefore this entailed having to pack suits, ties, and dresses, along with ‘non-church clothes.’
The story is told of a native from a remote mountain village in the jungle, who had the opportunity to visit a large modern city for the first time. He was amazed at all the bright lights and technology. He stayed and worked in the city for a number of months, saving up as much money as he could so he could bring back some of the modern comforts to his primitive village.
The Convention of States Project holds meetings in House District 5 (comprised of Camp, Morris, Rains, Titus, Wood, and part of Smith counties) each month. On Saturday, May 8, the monthly meeting will be hosted by Debby Efurd in Camp County (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.). Future meetings are rotated to the other counties within House District 5.
For some reason, the water pressure on the hot-water side of our bathroom sink has been practically nonexistent for a couple of months now. For some reason, my wife said she couldn’t live another day with it like that and I needed to do something about it “or else.” For some reason, I thought she was overreacting a bit, but I kept that to myself.
