Youngblood appointed local health authority

The Commissioners Court met in regular session on September 6, and approved the appointment of Dr. Tonya Youngblood, MD as the local health authority for Camp County through August 31, 2025. The requirements of the local health authority are rather light under normal conditions, unless a pandemic or some kind of disaster strikes, at which time the local health authority acts as liaison between county and state officials and performs other duties. Dr. Blair MacBeath held this position for several years before his retirement, and helped Camp County navigate its way through the Covid pandemic.
