First Responders are honored

On Thursday, April 16, at 6:00 pm, the Pittsburg Rotary Club hosted Camp County first responders to a dinner at the Highland Lake Club house. Over twenty Rotarians set up, cooked, and served for over fifty-five police officers and dispatchers, sheriff deputies, highway patrol officers, firemen, emergency medical technicians, court officers and nurses. The menu consisted of boiled shrimp, grilled shrimp, grilled vegetables, corn and potatoes. The homemade desserts table was groaning with all of the cakes, pies, and cookies.

Camp County Commissioners Court met for their semi-monthly meeting at 8:30 am Wednesday, April 15, in the first floor courtroom of the Camp County Courthouse in Pittsburg. County Judge A J Mason and all four of the County Commissioners, Jed Hefner, Tommy Rozell, Perry Weeks, and Steve Lindley were present. Also present were Camp County Clerk, Sandra Knight, and Camp County Auditor, Christie Davis.
