The Pittsburg Lions Club’s recent meeting hosted Constable Shawn Kennington as its guest speaker. Kennington shared with the Lions the many responsibilities he has as constable of Camp County.

The Pittsburg Lady Pirates got back on the winning track with a key 57-40 district win at Bonham on Friday, Jan. 24. The victory kept Coach John Chatham’s Lady Pirates all alone in third place in District 144A at 4-3 as they upped their overall record to 23-6.
Beloved members of the Pittsburg community, Chuck and Sarah Johns, were in a tragic two-car crash on Thursday, Jan. 16. Chuck passed away soon after the events of the accident, and Sarah passed away less than 48 hours later from injuries sustained in the crash. Chuck was 79 and Sarah was 74.
The Pittsburg City Council held its regular meeting on Jan. 13. At the meeting, the budget was amended and plans for a line of credit was set in motion.
