Rotary enjoys presentation by Past District Governor

Past District Governor Carroll Greenwaldt (left) was the guest speaker at the Pittsburg Rotary Club on June 15. Also pictured are Carolyn Franks, soon-to-be District Governor, and Jim Archer. Greenwaldt’s presentation involved the history and purpose of Rotary International, as he reminded members of the organization’s small beginnings. Started by four businessmen, there were 23 members within eight months. Rotary went international when the London club was chartered in 1912, and is now in over 200 countries with over 36,000 clubs and roughly 1.4 million members. COURTESY PHOTO
