Area nonprofits receive over $110k in donations on East Texas Giving Day
East Texas Giving Day (ETGD), an annual fundraising event supporting nonprofits from all over the region, has come and gone again, leaving local charities thankful. Area nonprofits, including God’s Closet, the Frederick Douglass Alumni Association, Camp County Habitat for Humanity, the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum, and the NTCC Foundation, received a combined total of $118,995.
Willis takes School Board Place 5
The school board race has concluded, and a new face will appear on the board. Mario Willis has won School Board Place 5 over incumbent and former School Board President Alan Brison, with a total of 363 votes to Brison’s 278.
Rodeo goes off without a hitch
Pittsburg’s annual rodeo was a record-breaking success. According to Colt Hall, the event saw the highest ever numbers of contestants, spectators, and sponsors.
CNB holds grand opening
