In a meeting on June 14, the Pittsburg ISD Board of Trustees discussed possible changes to the school district’s dress code. The board is looking to change wording around the district’s dress and grooming standard, which, according to the board, has been hard to enforce, especially amid COVID-19. Facial hair and jewelry have especially been tough to enforce with students’ use of masks during school.

NORTHEAST TEXAS — The long-discussed Marvin Nichols Reservoir is gaining momentum. The project, proposed on the main stem of the Sulphur River in Red River and Titus Counties, would flood more than 66,000 acres of heritage farmland, hardwood forest and wetlands in Northeast Texas to pipe water to the DFW Metroplex.
