Saturday August 7 saw the Pittsburg Pirates and their fans get together for their annual Tailgate Party. It was a warm day to be outside, which did not prevent the town from coming out in force to support the students, staff and coaches. The event signaled a return to normalcy after the 2020 event was cancelled due to Covid.
On Wednesday August 4, Northeast Texas Community College Eat Better 4 Less program hosted a block party in Pittsburg complete with a foam pit and snow cones.
